We are a non-profit foundation with the purpose of promoting knowledge, research, and quality information in Food and Food Sciences.

We make knowledge in Food Science and Nutrition a valuable force for business and one of the keys to overall health improvement in the general population.

Historical background

FINUT was established in March 2011 by Professor Ángel Gil Hernández at the initiative of the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS), the Spanish Society of Nutrition (SEÑ) and the Latin American Society of Nutrition (SLAN).

Our beneficiaries come from the 22 countries that make up Ibero-America, although a total of 52 countries follow FINUT’s activities.
